Today, Samsung has just announced the launch of the new Galaxy M31 to the UK. This is the newest addition to the Galaxy M series and on paper, it appears to be a powerful smartphone with a low price tag. It’s exclusively available at Amazon.co.uk at the moment for a mere £245. Yes, just under £250!
“The Galaxy M series has proved extremely popular around the world and its newest addition, Galaxy M31, is set to continue that success” said Conor Pierce, Corporate Vice-President of Samsung UK & Ireland. “The M31 brings innovation to where people want it most; a beautiful display, powerful camera and huge battery life; and all this at a very accessible price point.”

Up first, the camera or I should say cameras. The M31 sports a 64MP quad-camera set up, yes, four cameras. This includes the 64MP main camera, a 8MP ultra-wide, 5MP macro, and 5MP depth lens for portrait shots. It also includes a dedicated night mode for low light photography too! The M31 is also capable of 4K video recording, hyper lapses, slow-mo, and super steady modes. The 32MP front camera also supports 4K for vlogging and selfies.
The display is 6.4″ full HD Super AMOLED, with a resolution of 2340×1080, 404 ppi pixel density and 16 million colors. It boasts an Exynos 9611 octa-core processor, coupled with either 6 or 8GB RAM and 64 or 128GB ROM storage, expandable up to 512GB via a separate microSD card.
The M31 also comes with a 6000mAh battery, which I’d like to think will keep you going for a whole day with moderate to average use. It’s also just 8.9mm thick and weighs 191grams. Lastly, it accepts nano dual sims and it’s available in black, blue, and red.
We will try and get one so we can give it a proper review but on paper, that’s a lot of spec for a relatively low price, in the grand scheme of things. It is currently only available here on Amazon.
