If you haven’t guessed, I am a Pokemon fan, always have been, so when I hear something new is to be released, I’m on it. The Pokemon Company have teamed up with Tencent Games TiMi Studios, to announce the release of Pokemon Unite, a new game, which will be available on Nintendo Switch and Smartphones. Which is great news and I sold my Switch some time ago

Pokémon UNITE is the first strategic Pokémon team battle game. Players face off against each other in five-on-five team battles. During these battles, players will cooperate with teammates to catch wild Pokémon, level up and evolve their own Pokémon. They will need to defeat their opponents’ Pokémon while trying to earn more points than the opposing team within the allotted time. Pokémon UNITE introduces a new kind of Pokémon battle—one that requires teamwork and strategy. It is simple and yet full of intricacies waiting to be unpacked.

Details are limited, there are no details on when it will be released and how. That being said, it’s stated it’s free-to-start, so perhaps that means a trial of sorts? Or there will be parts of the game locked behind a paywall? Who knows but you know The Pokemon Company will find a way of taking your money.

It’s toying on the side of a MOBA, or that’s what I get from the advert, which excites me. Picking the right Pokemon, for the perfect synogy to win the game! Anyway, we we know more, I’ll let you know but keep your eyes and ears peeled…
