Next week, Marshall Headphones release their flagship smart phone, ‘London’. Known for the distinctive black and gold guitar amplifiers, Marshall have expanded into personal headphones, bluetooth speakers and now mobile phones.

As you can imagine, the phone follows the famous black and gold image and will hugely appeal to musicians everywhere. The phone is focused around music producing ‘the best’ sound quality possible. The phone includes two front facing speakers, which in theory should be very loud. Much louder than your iPhone.

The Marshall London packs a lot of heat under the hood; take for example the Cirrus Logic WM8281 Audio Hub. This smart codec gives the London a separate processor for music, allowing it to play at a higher resolution. The phone also includes a global equalizer and comes complete with in-ear Marshall headphones.

From the images, the phone looks great! It has very defined and neat details, and the gold against the black looks awesome.

The phone runs on the latest Android Lollipop operating system and comes with:

4.7” LCD IPS HD 720P, Multi-touch, Gorilla glass 3, anti-finger print coating
Qualcomm Snapdragon 410, 1.2 GHz Quad Core CPU
– 8mp rear camera, 2mp front camera
– 16gb storage, with SD card for future expansion
– 2500 mAh Li Ion battery
140.45 x 70.25 x 9.45 mm  /  145 g

If you play guitar or appreciate the awesomeness of Marshall Amps, it looks like you will love the phone! It may just be a novelty though. Will the phone perform well and compete against its competitors? Only time will tell.
