It’s been a long time coming, but the final season of Game Of Thrones will hit our screens this April and it’s on everyone’s minds, ‘who will take the iron throne’. Daenerys is losing dragons fast, could the white walkers make it all that way, or will there be an unlikely face to take the throne? Well Betvictor have priced up the odds on various characters, for various situations, and it makes for an interesting read, so I thought I’d share it with you! What’s even more interesting, is that these are actual live bets, if you wanted to stick a pound down.

There are many questions left unanswered after seasons 7, but the two that I’m sure most are thinking, are ‘Who will die in season 8?’ and ‘who will take the iron throne’. Well these are the questions Betvictor have put odds against and they are as follows:

Who will take the throne?

So to my surprise, Bran Stark is the most likely to sit on the throne, with Jon Snow and Daenerys coming in second. I thought it would be either of the two, but Bran? I’m not sure how well he will be, as King of the seven kingdoms. The Night King comes in third, which I would love to see, but do the bad guys ever win, sadly not! Sitting right at the bottom of the list, is poor Gilly, being the least likely to sit on the throne, but Sam is mid table, so if by some chance he made it onto the throne, I’m sure he’d let her join him on there.

During all this conflict, who’s going to die and who will survive?

As expected, some of the more disliked characters have made the better odds, with it almost being certain that Euron Greyjoy and Cersei & Jaime Lannister dying in the final season. I’m happy with that, although Jaime grew on me somewhat, for that bond between him and Tyrion mid-series. The least likely to die is Bran & Jon, and of course the sweet & innocent Sam & Gilly, but Daenerys has 1/3 odds, which doesn’t look good for her. Perhaps she will sit on the throne for a short period, then Bran will kill her with his mind.

Only time will tell on how accurate these odds have been and all I can say is, bring on April!
