Looking like it’s come straight from the 50s, View Quest’s new Retro ColourGen DAB radio doesn’t disappoint. It features a DAB+ tuner to give you a much better sound while listening to your favourite stations. It also comes with a docking station for your lightning connecting port iPhones and iPods to blare your tunes.

I was very surprised with the actual quality for a DAB radio. It was lovely. Having a great signal where I am helped a lot – as it still relies on digital signal – with the crystal clear quality I received. There are 2 x 10w speakers present. Enough to fill a small room like a kitchen.

The View Quest Retro ColourGen DAB Radio has two types of power options, mains or batteries. It takes 4 x C-type batteries so expect the battery life to be large although this wasn’t tested. I used the mains adapter as I had mains available.

The style as mentioned at the top of the review is retro. It takes the style of the old-skool wireless type radios of the 40s/50s which is cool. It looks good. I received a red one but there are many other colours to choose from to match the décor of the radio’s new home.
