Sci-fi genius Ridley Scott is jumping into the world of gaming, taking an executive producer role on the new Halo digital project. The project is being directed by Battlestar Galactica’s Sergio Mimica-Gezzan. Any time Ridley Scott’s name gets mentioned, I immediately get excited.
It has been said that Microsoft plan to release the masterpiece later this year. There is unfortunately no confirmed date.
It has also been rumoured that Prison Break series creator Paul Scheuring will be cast to write the feature.
This project will be separate from the 343 Industries and Steven Spielberg Halo live action TV series collaboration. The series was announced as part of the Xbox One reveal last year. We have been told that Neill Blomkamp of the movie District 9 may well be directing the pilot episode for the television series.
