This new Canon Ixus camera is part of Canon’s luxury range. It is a sleeker design to the SX600 and has cut back on some features. It only has a 12x optical zoom compared to the 18x optical on the SX600. This is however boosted by a 24x ZoomPlus digital feature.

Picture quality isn’t compromised as it keeps its 16 megapixel sensor right where it belongs. It uses its 4+ Digic processor too, all within a much sexier design to the simpler models. Its focal length is 25-300mm and has a large maximum aperture of f/3.6-f/7.0.

It has been compared to the SX600 HS, which peaks in terms of features. Catch up with those extra features by taking a look at my Canon SX600 HS

It has full wifi capability to upload those special snaps to share with friends and family.

There is the ability to shoot in full 1080p HD creating some extremely sharp stunning footage.
