Samsung has just announced a brand new 5k monitor that looks absolutely stunning.
This is the ViewFinity S9. It’s a 27” inch, 5k monitor with a resolution of 51 20 by 28 80. It’s an IPS display, a 60hz, 5mili seconds response time, 1000 to 1 ratio and it’s aimed at professionals, photographers, video editors and so on.
With 99% DCI-P31 and 218 pixels per inch, it provides more saturated and vivid colors with crisper details, perfect for those who rely on visual fidelity.2 Furthermore, a typical brightness of 600 cd/m2 makes it easy to work in nearly any lighting environment. The monitor can also be calibrated via your smartphone, a first in the industry.

As expected, this will not be cheap with prices rumoured to be $1600 dollars. It looks good, it sounds like it will perform fantastically but at that price point, in my opinion, you’ve got to really want or need it.
