This is Navigator RS Pack 15L from Gomatic and it’s going to be my 2025 backpack.

Gomatic is known for its premium, sleek bags and the Navigator RS is exactly that. It’s the perfect blend of minimalist design and everyday practicality.

First impressions? This bag is seriously stylish. The 420D Nylon rip-stop water-resistant fabric feels premium and looks incredibly durable. The minimalist aesthetic is on point – clean lines, no unnecessary frills, with simple branding to the front, It’s definitely a bag you could take to the office or on a weekend adventure.

This is the black version, but juniper blue and sandy cream is also available.

The backpack has soft cushions on the rear, providing comfort when wearing the bag on your back, plus a chest strap for added support. What I love about the chest strap is it’s not only width adjustable to suit the size of your chest, but height too. This support strap can be unclipped, allowing you to position the strap further up, or further down, giving the perfect fit to suit you. The straps themselves are adjustable, and there is an additional strap on the back, allowing you to slide your suitcase handle through the middle, so you don’t need to wear the bag while walking with a suitcase and it keeps it secure from falling too. If you want to carry the bag by hand, there are three comfortable handles to choose from.

To the front of the bag, at the top there is a quick access section, suitable for your phone, wallet, glasses, keys, and it’s soft inside too.

A handy feature I’ve not come across before, and one that I love, is the zips interlink with each other, meaning when one zip moves, both move and that section cannot be opened easily. It’s such a simple thing and it will certainly make it harder for someone behind you, that you dont know, to open your bag on the move.

To the very rear of the bag is a full height, slim section, suitable for your tablet or laptop with a screen up to 16inches. Again, a soft interior that will protect your tech.

You may be wondering where the bottle holder is, surely there is one, they wouldn’t design a bag without it would they? They didn’t forget, in fact, it’s beautifully hidden away so when you don’t need it, you’d never know it was there. Behind a zip is the flexible bottle holder, capable of storing bottles that are up to 8.3cm wide.

In terms of main storage, it starts at 15 litres. Inside the main section, there are four pockets, allowing you to organise your accessories however you wish. Plus a zipped section on the other side for more important, or valuable items.

I said it started at 15litres, because it’s expandable upto 21litres, offering the flexibility of adding an additional 6litres of space as and when you need it. How, there is a zip to the back of the backpack and once unzipped, you’ll see it extends the base of the bag to achieve that additional 6 litres of storage. This is ideal for clothes, if you want to take the bag away with you overnight or on a short trip. When you no longer need that additional space, zip the section back up and your back to the original, compact shape & size.

It’s not cheap, at 160 pounds here in the UK but from what I’ve used of the backpack so far, mainly for work, it has been a fantastic, and a head-turner, people ask me about it. Over time, I think I’m going to really enjoy this bag, as it fits my lifestyle perfectly and it appears ever so durable & robust.
