We’ve already taken a look at one of the Epson EcoTank printers already which was aimed at the consumer market, but now we got some business printers on the way, which promise to reduce printing costs, save time on your printing and cut energy use too. Perfect combo if you ask me.
The new printers are similar in size and work exactly the same as their consumer counterpart. They both use EcoTank ink cartridges, which sees users empty out bottles of ink into the side, rather than slotting in the traditional printer cartridges into the front. Both printers also only print in mono, which means no colour prints I’m afraid, but it is perfect for the types written documents that offices find themselves printing on a daily, and almost hourly basis.
Chris Jones, product manager, Epson Europe, says: “Our colour ink tank system printers have reached more than 30 million sales worldwide as they’ve proved such a reliable, cost-effective and efficient printing system. These new EcoTank mono models will build on that success, by providing users and small businesses, such as car garages and small accountancy firms, a solution to dramatically reduce their cost per page.”
The bottles used could also save businesses up to 90% on their printing depending on how often they print out documents of course. The printers are claiming up to 11,000 pages per full tank and up to 20 pages per minute.
Lastly, the new printers can cater for many different needs, with models giving users the chance for double sided printing, automatic document feeders, 150 – 250 sheet trays and different connectivity solutions like USB, Ethernet and WiFi.
