Divoom Voombox-Ongo Review
Travel speaker specialists Divoom have just released their newest model to the line up and it’s fantastic. No more do you need to play your music through the tinny speaker on your mobile phone thanks to the Divoom Voombox-Ongo Bluetooth speaker. A small package that brings huge sounds.
Upon first impressions the Voombox-Ongo had been beautifully packaged. The box is incredibly stylish and plain, which works really well. Inside along with the speaker you get a 3.5mm jack cable and a USB cable for charging the 8-hour internal lithium battery. There are a set of instructions that I needed to check out to connect my mobile to the speaker. Connecting was an extremely simple process. It has a 10 metre wireless range for the Bluetooth. This works really well in open spaces but not so much in the home. But by design, this is meant to be a travel speaker.
Playback is superb. The Divoom Vommbox-Ongo is powered by two 1.5″ full range drivers outputting at 7w backed up by a rear subwoofer to reach those lower range bass sounds. It is easily enough to fill a room at volume.
It has four buttons on the top for volume, power and playback. The side door is covering a USB slot and 3.5mm jack input for using wired connections from a laptop or MP3 player.
The Divoom Voombox-Ongo comes in a range of colours to suit your fancy and is supplied with a bicycle mount to listen to music while riding. It’s very sturdy and also weather-proof too so don’t worry about rain.
