A gameplay trail for Deus Ex: Mankind Divided was debuted at the Square Enix show at E3 this year.
As with many of the games shown at E3 this year a brand new engine makes this game look stunning. It’s set to fully utilise the hardware of current gen consoles and PCs. As such the game will be coming in early 2016 for Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
Set two years after the previous game in the series Mankind Divided sees members of the augmented community shunned by society after the events of Human Revolution. The hero, Adam Jensen has left his previous employer, Serif Industries in favour of being a double agent within INTERPOL. On a mission to take down the evil Illuminati who are using INTERPOL for their own gains, Jensen has a variety of new tools including darts and the ability to use his arm-blades as projectiles.
With lots of cool in-game animations but little player controlled action the trailer shows what the game is going to look like minus the user interface for the most part.
A big downfall was implimenting stealth into Human Revolution. You could play the whole game without killing anyone all bar the bosses. Trouble is, if you had specced in full stealth, then the boss fights were a nightmare. Let’s hope that they have overcome this problem in this one.
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided is being developed by Eidos Montreal and Published by Square Enix.
E3 is taking place in LA and is considered the biggest games exhibition in the world.
