In only five days after the release of Destiny, Bungie’s new console only MMO, has earned $325m Activision has said.

Destiny fans played more than 100 million hours of the game in the first week. That’s on par with the engagement levels of our most popular Call of Duty games, which obviously is an industry leader. – Eric Hirshberg chief executive of Activision

With a budget of $500m, the most ever for a video game, it doesn’t seem quite that bad anymore. Activision and Bungie have also signed on to Destiny for ten years, giving us the impression that expectations are high
