Acer have just announced the world’s first Snapdragon 8cx Gen 2 notebook which supports both 5g mmWave and Sub-6 frequencies. Essentially, keeping users connected to 5G on the go.
What’s awesome though is its 360-degree design, which means users can either use it as a conventional notebook with a full keyboard, or as a tablet, for writing notes or even sketching ideas. And trust me, I’ve seen some pretty fantastic artwork created on the commuter train by artists. This laptop could aid them in their designs.

The pen is provided by Wacom, and it’s the AES 1.0 pen with 4,096 levels of pressure. The screen itself is Full HD IPS technology, so we can expect some beautiful colours and vivid imagery. Perfect again for consuming media, or for your artwork or photos. It’s been claimed that it covers up to 100% of the sRGB spectrum too. The screen is covered in Gorilla Glass as well for added protection from scratches.
The battery life too is a staggering 24 hours, which for a laptop device is staggering. It’s extremely lightweight too at 1.5mm thin and weighing at 1.4kg. The casing is made from magnesium aluminium alloy too for a professional look that’ll turn heads in business meetings for sure.

There’s a fingerprint sensor for those wanting to add a little more security to their device and works with Windows Hello.
“We envision notebooks of the future to provide exceptional productivity and portability with human-centric design, ultra-long battery life, blazing-fast 5G connectivity and beyond,” said Jerry Kao, Co-COO, Acer Inc. “The new Acer Spin 7 is an Always On Always Connected notebook capable of keeping up with the modern work-from-anywhere lifestyle with its sleek form factor supporting multi-day use.”
