Hello! Welcome back to the channel and thanks for joining us for this weeks 180 tech chat. Let’s jump straight into it.

First up, Spotify are branching out into Audiobooks. Yes, Audible has a new competitor and quite a big one too. With Spotify being one of the worlds largest music streaming services, it’s going to put audiobooks in the front of millions of customers and it make sense. Spotify already do music, podcasts, so why not audiobooks too. When, we dont know but we’re seeing mid 2022 has been thrown around a few times and as for prices, I can only assume it’ll be on a book by book purchase basis and maybe you’ll get a free book or something to welcome the new service.

Next up, the Galactic Starcruiser, which is Disney’s new Star Wars-themed hotel and it looks amazing. It’s a fully immersive, itinerary full two-day experience stay over and when it was announced, people said, who’s going to spend up to $6000 for a two-night trip. Apparently, quite a lot of people as reports today are stating the hotel is fully booked for the first four months. Bravo to Disney for making this happen, I’m sure it’ll be amazing and maybe if prices drop, we’ll go sometime.

A very rare iPhone appeared on eBay this week but it had one slight difference. It came with a USB-C port instead of the traditional lightning port. Why? A YouTuber going by the name Kenny Pi re-engineered the iPhone to work with a USB C for the views. The video is up, we’ll leave a link below. It’s amassed well over half a million views in two weeks and it’s a very detailed video which we enjoyed. Anyway, he sold the phone on eBay for a very cool $86,000. I wonder if Tim has seen it and thinking about it. We do already have USB-C ports on iPads so why not iPhones.

Lastly, Musk is back in the news after selling some of his Tesla stocks. We put a Twitter poll out, asking the general public if he should sell his stocks. Musk said, “Much is made lately of unrealized gains being a means of tax avoidance, so I propose selling 10% of my Tesla stock,”. Surprise, Twitter told him to sell and he is a man of his word and sold them. The man is bonkers and amazing and weird, all in one.
