As Christmas is drawing near, kids from all over the world have been getting their wish lists ready for the big day. Our good friends over at eBuyer have also been helping out with this mammoth task. This year, Santa has decided to go digital and store all of his lists electronically. After all, having millions of lists laying around the workshop is so impractical, I’m surprised the jolly man in red hasn’t made a mistake yet.

eBuyer.com have been hard at work making calculations on the amount of lists Santa could potentially receive. They have then taken that figure and using the average file size of a single page Word document, came to the conclusion that a 4TB hard drive would be needed to store the lists. But, with the rate of children being born into the world, the 4TB hard drive would only last for the next 10 years before having to upgrade again.

Below is an infographic to show eBuyer.com’s workings out. You can also find a list of the potential hard drives Santa could go for here.

Here at Tech Nuovo we’re getting into the Christmas spirit. We hope you are too.
