New Xbox One update in June bringing external storage, real names plus many more
Microsoft have been very busy bringing us a wide variety of apps and update since its release last year. This time round, Microsoft is bringing external storage to the popular console. They are also going to include real names so we can easily identify our friends on Xbox Live.
Microsoft is making it so easy to increase storage capacity. Your console will soon be able to support a 256GB or larger USB 3.0 external hard drive. Of course they will need to be formatted first, but once this has been done, you will be able to transfer games, apps and add-ons to increase your storage capacity on the console.
You will however need to sign into your Xbox Live account or insert a disk to verify the game ownership but once this is done, you can enjoy your game with your saves and downloaded content.
Xbox One can now give you up to 1,000 friends and infinite followers on Xbox Live. Now that the real names of players will be displayed, you will no longer be expected to know the person by their gamertag alone.
SmartGlass is getting some very interesting changes. The OneGuide and Universal Remote Control is now coming to SmartGlass. You can now use your SmartGlass app to view your TV listings and even set your favourite channels. You can even set which program you want to record to the DVR.
