Hello! Welcome back to the channel and this weeks episode of 180 TechChat.

So LG has just announced their 2022 UltraFine OLED Pro monitors, aimed at the professionals, for things like video, photo editing and so on. Two monitors, the 32BP95E and 27BP95E and as you can probably guess a 32 or 27” options. Both offer 4K OLED panels, with a resolution of 3840×2160, a 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio and 99% coverage of the DCI-P3 colour space. Both new displays offer independent pixel control for impressive colour fidelity and contrast and because OLED displays do not require backlighting, these UltraFine monitors are free of the distracting halo effect or blooming, common on many LCD displays. Connectivity-wise, an HDMI port plus two display ports. , 1 USB port upstream, 3 downstream, USB-C with power delivery. Appearance-wise, no RGB, this isn’t a gaming monitor, it’s to work on and after looking at the spec, there is potential for this to really deliver. LG is saying monitors will be available to purchase from January.

OnePlus have a new pair of buds on the market, the Z2. Wireless buds with active noise cancellation, 11mm dynamic drivers, Bluetooth 5.2 with Dolby Atmos support. Up to 38 hours of battery life with quick charge, so 10minutes of charge should provide about 5hours of playback, and not one, not two but three microphones on each earbud, so call quality should be tip-top. The OnePlus Buds Z2 are available now on OnePlus.com and Amazon for USD $99 / CAD $149, in white but if you wanted the black version, you’ll have to hold out for a release early next year.

Next up, Dell and they have just announced a few new concepts. Concept Luna, Concept Flow, Concept Stanza and Concept Pari. They’re about productivity, a better way of working but the one that caught my eye was Concept Pari. Concept Pari is a simple, moveable wireless web camera with innovative features to help bring more natural, intuitive experiences to virtual collaboration. It can be placed directly – anywhere – on compatible displays, in a charging dock, on a stand, or even held in the hand. This allows users to make direct eye contact with the people they are speaking with and allows for easy sharing of additional offscreen content and viewpoints. Small and light (~1 ounce / 30g) yet mighty, this iteration features a microphone and can deliver 1080p video over Wi-Fi. It has useful built-in features like a power indicator, vertical indicator light to help with perfect alignment and great angles every time, plus an integrated USB-C dock for wireless charging. The dock can even cradle and charge a reversed camera for extra peace of mind when it comes to privacy.
