The Oculus Rift has been stealing headlines for the past few weeks that other manufacturers are starting to see a potential in this game changer. Sony is the first to jump on board with their new Project Morpheus.
Sony’s new virtual reality goggles features a head mounted 1080p display for a 90-degree field of view. Enough to look left and right while playing a game. It uses accelerometer and gyroscope sensors as well as Sony’s Playstation camera technology to track head movements.
It also features 3D audio technology creating stereoscopic sounds in all directions. Sounds will also change depending on head orientation.
The Morpheus will also work with DUALSHOCK 4 controllers and the Playstation Move to deliver an easy-to-use, plug-and-play VR experience.
