I was never a fan of Bluetooth earphones, or even earphones in general for that matter as I’ve found that they fall out of my ears quite easily and drain your phone’s battery. Although some of that might still be true, even I must admit that after using the iFrogz Impulse Wireless earphones for a whole week, they started growing on me.
The iFrogz Impulse Wireless earphones come in two different colours, either black and silver, or white and rose gold inside a simple black and white packaging .The earphones are connected to a little remote control with a built-in mic and can be used to change the volume and to turn the earphones on and off. The control box also has a feature I had not seen before in a set of headphones, a magnetic clip you can wrap the earphone’s wire around, keeping the wires form getting tangled together when you put them away. It definitely saves some time and prevents the stress we all know too well of untangling earphone wires.
The Impulse Wireless also comes with two types of ear tips; noise-isolating and regular. As someone who almost exclusively listens to music either on public transport or at the gym, the earphones did a surprisingly good job at cancelling the noise from chatter on the train, and from the loud music played in the gym, while maintaining good quality audio. In addition to that, both types of ear tips come in three different sizes: small, medium and large so you can find the perfect size to fit your ear, which solved my fear of having them falling off my ears all the time.
As for my other fear of the battery consuming Bluetooth, unfortunately, that is still alive and well. There is no escaping it. Bluetooth does use up your battery life. On the bright side, the earphones do have up to 10 hours of battery life so there is no need to charge them every night.
The iFrogz Impulse wireless earphones are sold for for around $34.99 but we have spotted them cheaper among other online retail outlets. You can find more information about these earphones on the iFrogz website.
