Seeing as you’ve invested in a lot of money on camera equipment, with some cameras and lenses hitting the plus £1000 mark, it pays to store them securely, especially on the move. Professional photographers are more than likely going to be carrying more than one camera on them along with several lenses and accessories. The Booq Python Slimpack is an answer to your transporting needs.

Being able to house two digital SLR cameras, four mid-size lenses as well as one large zoom lens, a tripod and a tablet, the Booq Python Slimpack has room for absolutely everything a photographer would need on tour.

The interior of the bag is fully customisable being able to remove and place the soft padded dividers where you choose. A nice touch is the quick access hatch at the top so users can quickly grab their camera without trawling through the entire bag. Several compartments in the top, sides and front can house your important accessories such as chargers and memory cards.

The Booq Python Slimpack is made from a water-repellent 1680 denier ballistic nylon material. There is even a removable rain poncho for extra water resistance. The base is a solid rubber meaning extra protection when putting the back down on the ground, and even stand by itself.

The shoulder straps are chunky and nicely padded so there is no cutting into you when heavier equipment is being slugged around. There are even two chest fasteners to relieve some tension from your shoulders on extended shoot days which work extremely well. I’ve use the bag for a few days to lug my DSLRs back and forth from uni as well as finding room for my laptop and I must say it works really well.

Moving on to the second bag within the Booq family is the Python Mirrorless. It’s smaller than the Python Slimpack which is understandable as mirrorless cameras are much much smaller than the larger DLSRs.

It is made out of the same material as the Python and is still fully water resistant.

Inside the Python Mirrorless is fully customisable with soft padded dividers. It is ideally designed for one mirrorless camera and a medium sized lens. I managed to fit my Sony NEX-5T and two prime lenses with ease. There is space for 8″ tablet as well as exterior pockets for your charger and memory cards.

I loved these bags,. They’re chunky, well protected, and a lot bigger than you think once you start packing your equipment in there. Having the extra space means you are never without any important bits of gear.

The Booq Python Slimpack and the Booq Python Mirrorless can be purchased directly from the Booq website.
