EA Games have just showed us a small sneak preview of gameplay from the new Star Wars Battlefront 3. The version being showed was for PS4. The game is being developed by Dice, the developers behind the popular open warfare series Battlefield.
The short gameplay snippet showed us a recreation of the Battle of Hoth complete with a ton of different guns and a load of usable machines.
The video took to the screen openeing up in the frozen wasteland Hoth. From there we were shown some in-game footage of how the game will play.
Two highlights that had the crowds screaming were sitting in a bouldering giant AT-AT firing lasers down on the armies below. The way that Dice has designed the model actually made you feel huge and powerful compared to other objects on the map.
Flying in a Snow Speeder wrapping your tow cable around the legs of a Walker felt special, and although it’s been done before in previous titles,
Even Vader and Skywalker made an appearance by spinning onto the map and clashing lightsabers before the gameplay trailer cut out making the room erupt into cheer.
The new Star Wars Battlefront we believe is being built using the Frostbite 2 engine, the same tool used to put together the popular Battlefield 4. However this wasn’t revealed during the conference at E3.
E3 is taking place in LA and is considered the biggest games exhibition in the world.
YouTube are even streaming the event live this weekend.
