What can I say other than this game is absolutely mental. We were invited into a private booth to try out a 15 minute demo of the new Agents of Mayhem game at Comic Con ’17, and it was a lot of fun for the most part.

Apart from getting used to the controls which to me were a little sensitive, the game was mostly playable. The game is made up of several heroes, a rag tag over the top type set of characters that come with unique weapons and powers. My personal favourite was a skinny street rat character that used a small sub-machine gun and explosives to combat enemies.

The playable characters we had access to was a tanky muscly bouncer type that uses a boombox to distract enemies into dance, and a skinny female on roller blades that carried round a huge minigun.

Towards the end of our time with Agents of Mayhem they reeled of a number of different things present in the final game. You’re going to have access to a ton of stuff including multiple heroes all with their own unique abilities, loads of weapons, tons of customisations and an open world, GTA style.

There are even cars in the game that you can drive if that takes your fancy, with some pretty insane nitrous oxide boosting. Or, if you want to, you can scale large buildings and leap across rooftops to get to your destinations.

I must say that this game is colourful. Lots of neon lights to explode, and even the weapon bullet trails make everything that bit more flashy. The setting looks like some kind of Utopian future tech city which looks like lots of fun to explore.

The game is set to launch this August for all platforms like Xbox One, PS4 and PC. Not sure if it’s coming to Nintendo’s side, we will have to let you know. We only had access to a preview version of the game and there were very strict filming or photography policies, so we couldn’t get any screenshots unfortunately, but let me tell you, it’s definitely worth looking out for on release.
