Sony has just released their newest 1.70 firmware update for the PlayStation 4. It comes with a whole bundle of new features.

The biggest feature of this new update is Sony’s ShareFactory app. The app allows gamers to create, edit, and share their movies of gameplay footage.

The DualShock 4 controller’s light bar can now be adjusted. It has a bright, medium and dim setting, a small feature but great in low-light environments. You can now control the keyboard using the controller’s on-board touch pad.

Users are now able to disable HDCP encryption for the PS4’s HDMI output. This means video can finally be captured by external devices unscrambled.

Sony have also added support for automatic pre-downloads of selected games that have been pre-ordered. Watchdogs is the first to take advantage of this feature, followed by others.
