Okay, so this is a random one from us. We’ve been asked by Ranvoo to take a look at their new Airjet 2 Electric Toothbrush and make some content on it, so here we are. A far cry from the usual tech we look at here at TechNuovo, but a welcome addition. So let’s talk about it.
So what do you get? Well at £219 you get the toothbrush itself, a couple of brush heads and the charger. I’ve got three brush heads here: one for whitening, one for sensitive gums, and one for the best of both worlds. I’ve opted for that one during my testing, and I must say I have actually been quite impressed with it.
The unique thing about this Ranvoo toothbrush is its bubble technology, which is designed to fire air through the brush head, therefore creating bubbles, which aims to also floss your teeth as well as clean them at the same time. Kind of like a water flosser and toothbrush in one. It’s quite a strange feeling, which I must say did need some getting used to, and whether or not it’s more effective compared to using my last Oral-B toothbrush, I think remains to be seen. Though I will say my teeth do feel nice and clean once I’ve used the Ranvoo.
There are four different modes, which I usually stick to the standard clean mode, but you do have one for whitening, which flicks the brush left and right, and bubble, which is designed for a softer clean, and foam, which foams your toothpaste more and is designed, I think for maybe people with braces or sensitive teeth and gums. There’s a mode for everyone, which is nice, and the toothbrush times itself in 30-second increments, so you know how long you’re cleaning your teeth for.
It comes in both white and grey, of which I do actually quite like the grey one more. Not that I’ve seen the white one, but the grey one looks nice and modern. It’s got a 60-day battery life, though the caveat to that is you’ve got to use it on the gentle mode. I’ve got nowhere near that during my testing and have had it a couple of weeks now, and have had to charge it twice. The charger is quite nice, though. It comes with a magnetic holder which can be stuck to the wall, though it does rely on USB power. It’s IPX7 waterproof too so there’s no risk of damaging it while cleaning it under the tap.
It’s a nice little product for sure, and absolutely makes my teeth feel nice and clean. Whether they’re cleaner than using my £30 Oral-B? Unsure, but the feeling when using the bubble technology feels nice. If you want to find out more, then check out the Ranvoo website.
