Denon has been in the audio game a long time now. With their absolutely superb back catalogue of products, it looks as if they’re not going to slow down any time soon. The audio giant has just released a new set of in-ear headphones to the market. And first impressions we’re liking their on paper specifications. The new Denon AH-821 in-ear headphones have been beautifully crafted from an ergonomic aluminium diecast which we’re told will provides reliability as well as decent comfort.

The headphones use Denon’s own technology to drive sound – a Double Air Compression driver which uses two 11.5 drivers. These are positioned inside the earbuds one in front of the other which promises to deliver a lower frequency of bass reproduction. This will definitely aid all of you bass heads out there as deep bass promises to be as prominent as some of the highest frequencies. I can see classical music also benefitting from their new technology, but we will have to put these to the test once they arrive in the office.

The aluminium diecast gives users the chance to wear these for long periods of time, even on the move as they’re pretty lightweight. If your commute time is longer than an hour, and you love your music then these could be a viable option for you. They’re also supplied with memory foam ear tips so you can mould the bud part of the earphone to the shape of your lug holes. This is hugely advantageous over the one size fits all type of rubber buds you often see on in-ear headphones.

One thing that is pretty neat is the Denon Audio app you can download for your mobile or tablet device. Within the app, Denon has inluded a way of fine tuning your audio experience, probably with some kind of in-built equaliser which would be great to see. There are also over 70,000 radio stations on offer so different music genres will never be in short supply.

As I said, we will bring you a more detailed review in the future once a set has turned up. But we’re excited. It’s been a while since we’ve tested a high quality set of headphones at TechNuovo, and we are hoping so much that Denon does not disappoint.
