- Super tough under heavy loads
- Water-resistant when needed in rainfall
- Nice size for a regular commute and work items
- A little on the expensive side
It’s hard to find a good bag. I’m fussy. First off, I carry a lot of stuff. Perks of the job I suppose. But I always look for bags that have several compartments. That’s why I jumped at the chance to check out the STM Goods Trilogy 15″ Laptop Backpack.
The bag can hold up to 24L throughout its three main compartments. Two are known as the main storage areas and the third is a full-sized slim front pocket. There is a smaller compartment at the front bottom for smaller items like powerbanks and phone chargers. There are two side pockets for water bottles too.
STM have also used their trademark laptop protection. It’s called the tech cell, and what this means is that inside the laptop pouch, the material hugs around the outside of the laptop, giving it enough suspension to protect the laptop from knocks and bangs when handing the bag.
Some other features include an internal zippered mesh pocket, webbing loop for carabiner, bike light, or other accessories and a key clip.
The bag is made from a water resistant material, which I can safely say works well. I was caught in the rain on a commute and none of my stuff got wet. It’s pretty tough too. Even holding my laptop plus camera equipment, there was no sign of the straps giving way.
If you’re after a strong, all weather bag, then don’t look past the STM Goods Trilogy. It’s tough, water resistant and is very roomy. For more information, please visit the STM Gooods website.
